RESEARCH_LIBRARY: 5G & Telecom Security Documentation & References

The definitive repository for telecommunications security intelligence and standards analysis.

Intelligence_Archive

The TelcoSec Research Library serves as a central hub for the communications security community. It documents the evolution of mobile networks from the legacy, trust-based SS7/Diameter interconnects to the modern, Zero-Trust architectures of 5G.

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, technical archive of vulnerability research, protocol analysis, and standards compliance documentation. By centralizing these resources, we facilitate faster intelligence sharing and more robust defense strategies for global operators.

Every document in our library is mapped to industry-standard frameworks, including GSMA FS.31/FS.40 and 3GPP Security Specifications, ensuring that research findings are actionable for compliance and engineering teams.

Protocol Analysis

Deep dives into MAP, CAMEL, Diameter, and GTP-C signaling flows, highlighting edge-case behaviors and potential logic flaws.

Vulnerability Research

Technical disclosures of zero-day vulnerabilities in signaling firewalls, baseband implementations, and SIM OS architectures.

// RESOURCE INDEX
  • Whitepapers & Reports

    Original research published at BlackHat, DEF CON, and CCC, focusing on mobile core exploitation.

  • Standards Mapping

    Cross-references between common signaling vulnerabilities and GSMA/3GPP security controls.

// ARCHIVE DETAILS
:: COVERAGE RANGE
Spanning legacy GSM (2G) encryption analysis to 5G Service Based Architecture (SBA).
:: ASSET TYPES
PDF Research Papers, Slide Decks, PoC code, and protocol pcaps for forensic analysis.
// CURATION AND VERIFICATION PROCESS

Every document admitted to the Research Library passes through a multi-stage curation and cryptographic integrity verification process. Raw submissions — including packet captures (PCAPs), binary firmware images, and original research papers — are first reviewed by at least one senior analyst for technical relevance and potential operational sensitivity. If the material contains active exploit code or details that could be weaponized without a corresponding patch, it is placed under restricted access until coordinated disclosure is complete.

SHA-256 checksums are generated for all downloadable assets and published alongside each library entry. Researchers can verify the integrity of any document before import into their analysis environments. Asset authenticity is further anchored using timestamped commit logs in the public GitHub repository, providing a tamper-evident trail from author submission to public release.

The library is continuously updated as new 3GPP release cycles, GSMA Security Bulletins, and community-contributed vulnerability disclosures become available. Community members with verified researcher status may submit pull requests to propose additions or corrections, subject to review by the editorial board.
